2020 has turned into a year like no other; COVID-19 has changed the world, as we know it. There is now federal and provincial restriction that everyone must adhere to. Affecting everything we do from shopping, traveling and getting together with our friends and family.

The biggest impact of these restrictions to Horseshoe Island, as I’m sure everyone is aware, was the delay of our spring opening.

Now that we are open, we have implemented some enhanced health and safety protocols and have taken additional steps to ensure the well being of our guests and staff.

We recommend guests take the time to disinfect frequently touched surfaces in your cottage, practice social distancing including wearing a mask when physical distancing is a challenge and wash your hands regularly.

Your cottage and boat will have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with Health Canada approved products following the cleaning recommendations prior to your arrival.

We’ve also been instructed to implement the following Guest Code of Conduct and Screening Questionnaire to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Each member of your cottage will need to complete and submit a signed copy of the below Code of Conduct and Screening Questionnaire PRIOR to your arrival.

If you would prefer to print the form off and return it via email (to, click here to download the form.
